Jennifer King, Founder and CEO
Jennifer King started Blankets for Buddies 15 years ago after a visit to her local humane society.
The shelter was in dire need of blankets and towels to keep the animals warm during an unusually chilly Southern California winter.
Ms. King immediately went to work collecting donations from her family and friends and decided to take it a step further by passing out flyers to her neighbors, taking out an ad in the community newspaper, and reaching out to a local cable station to cover the story.
Ms. King set-up the first Blankets for Buddies basket in her city hall and the rest is history!
